This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
These terms apply to every order placed with Virgal & Co. (“we”), operated by Alexis Virgal, sole proprietor (French microenterprise, SIREN 992 213 934), by a client (“you”). Approving a quote and paying the deposit means you accept these terms, as well as our production terms and our care & use guide, which form part of them.
Every grillz is a unique piece, handmade from your impression and according to your choice of design, metal and finish. Photos on this site show past work as examples: each piece may have slight differences inherent to handcrafted work.
Prices shown on the site are indicative. They may vary with the final design, the number of teeth, the chosen metal and the price of precious metals. The final price, payment currency (euros or Canadian dollars) and lead time are set out in the quote you receive. Some designs are available on request only.
If you bring gold to recycle, a credit may be applied to your order after evaluation. The amount is stated in the quote.
Your order is confirmed when you approve the quote and pay a deposit of 50% of the total. Production only begins once we have received the deposit and a usable impression. The balance is due on pickup or before the piece is shipped. Clients in Montréal pay by Interac e-Transfer. Clients in the French Caribbean and France pay by PayPal (with the option to pay in up to 4 fee free installments, subject to PayPal approval), bank transfer or Revolut. For other countries, payment terms are stated in the quote. The piece remains the property of Virgal & Co. until paid in full.
When the impression is taken by a third party, you are responsible for its quality. If it is not usable, a new impression will be requested before production. A poor fit caused by an inaccurate impression is not a manufacturing defect (see section 8).
The average lead time is 2 to 4 weeks after your impression is approved and your deposit received. This is an estimate: it may vary with the complexity of the piece and the availability of materials. You will be notified of any significant delay.
Your piece is handed over in person by appointment in Montréal, or shipped by DHL Express with tracking, within an estimated 2 to 5 days after dispatch. For orders in Martinique and Guadeloupe, €50 for the impression at the partner dentist and €40 for delivery are added, for a total of €90. For other destinations, shipping costs are stated before dispatch. Any customs duties and import taxes are your responsibility. We recommend checking your piece as soon as you receive it and letting us know about any issue without delay.
The rules that apply if you make changes during design, or if no impression is provided, are set out in our production terms.
For the same reason, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, the right of withdrawal for distance sales does not apply to made to order pieces.
These commitments are in addition to the legal warranties, which continue to apply: in Québec, the legal warranty under the Consumer Protection Act; for clients residing in France, the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects.
Grillz are removable jewelry. They do not replace dental care, and Virgal & Co. is not a health professional. We recommend taking them out to eat and sleep, cleaning them regularly and maintaining good oral hygiene. Using a dental adhesive is your choice and your responsibility. If you experience discomfort or irritation, stop wearing the piece and see your dentist.
Detailed care instructions are in our care & use guide.
With your consent, we may photograph your piece, worn or not, to show it on our site and social media. You may decline or ask for a photo to be removed at any time.
For any complaint, please first write to virgalandco@gmail.com: we always look for an amicable solution. Failing that, these terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection granted by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. In Québec, you may also contact the Office de la protection du consommateur (opc.gouv.qc.ca).
