Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Virgal & Co. collects, why, who it is shared with and how to exercise your rights. It applies to virgalandco.com and to the exchanges that follow from it (form, email, Instagram, WhatsApp). It is written to comply with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and, for clients in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Person in charge of personal information

Alexis Virgal, founder of Virgal & Co., is the person in charge of protecting personal information. For any question or request: virgalandco@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

• Booking form: full name, email address, phone number (optional), location, type of request, preferred date, design in mind and message.
• To complete your order: your dental impression or scan, discussions about the design, and the information needed for payment and delivery (shipping address if applicable).
• Visit statistics: anonymous, aggregated data (pages viewed, country, device type), without cookies and without identifying you (see section 6).

We only collect the information needed for the purposes described below.

3. Why we use it

• To answer your requests and arrange appointments.
• To prepare a quote, make your custom piece and deliver it.
• To provide support after delivery (adjustments, warranty).
• To meet our legal obligations, including accounting and tax obligations.
• To understand, anonymously, how the site is used in order to improve it.

For people in the European Union, this processing is based on taking steps before a contract or performing the contract (request, quote, order), on our legal obligations (keeping invoices) and on our legitimate interest (anonymous statistics).

4. Dental impression or scan

Your impression or dental scan is used only to make and fit your piece. It is never used for any other purpose or shared, except with the clinic or partner that takes or sends it at your request. You can ask for it to be deleted once the warranty period has ended.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your information. It is shared only with the service providers needed to run the site and our service:

• Netlify, Inc. (United States): website hosting and receipt of requests sent through the form.
• Google (United States): receipt of requests by email (Gmail) and display of the site's fonts (Google Fonts), which sends visitors' IP addresses to Google.
• Meta (Instagram and WhatsApp): only if you choose to contact us through these apps.
• PayPal, Revolut and banks (bank transfer or Interac): only to process your payments.
• GoatCounter: anonymous visit statistics, without cookies.
• Partner dental clinics: only if you have your digital impression taken at one of them.
• Carrier: only if your order is shipped.

Some of these providers are located outside Québec and the European Union, including in the United States. They are required to protect your information, and we only share what is necessary.

6. Cookies and local storage

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. It only stores the currency you choose ($ or €) in your browser so it can be shown from page to page. This setting stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. Visit statistics are measured by GoatCounter, without cookies and without identifying visitors.

7. How long we keep it

• Requests that don't lead to an order: up to 3 years after the last exchange, then deleted.
• Clients: for the duration of the business relationship and the warranty period, then up to 3 years after the last exchange.
• Invoices and accounting records: for the period required by law.

8. Security

The site is served over a secure connection (HTTPS). Access to the requests we receive is limited to the person in charge and protected by a password. As no system is perfectly secure, we will notify you and the competent authorities of any confidentiality incident presenting a serious risk, as required by law.

9. Your rights

You can at any time ask to access your information, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent, receive a copy of your data or object to its use. Write to virgalandco@gmail.com: we respond within 30 days.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca) or, if you live in the European Union, with your country's data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).

This policy may be updated. The date at the top of the page shows the latest change.
